the MAHA kumbh

We started our return journey through the same route. It was 'Maha Shivratri',  (Sunday, 10 March 2013). It took a lot of time to come out of Allahabad, as this was the last day of Maha Kumbh Mela and lots of.. lots of people were coming to take the holy dip at Triveni Sangam - The Confluence of Mighty River Ganga & Yamuna (and invisible River Saraswati).

I have uploaded some relevant videos on touristhelpline.com

Kumbh Mela is held after a gap of every 12 years. But 'Maha Kumbh Mela' (Grand Kumbh Mela) is held after 12 Kumbhs, i.e. 144 years and is held only at Triveni Sangam - Allahabad. In this journey, though I missed the real charm and colours of The Kumbh, as the Sadhus and Akharas had already left the place, but still I did not wanted to miss the opportunity to be there, because for me 'The Mahakumbh' will never happen again in this life.

JAI HO !!
